Who we are

We are a delivery/logistics company located in NYC, NJ, and Philadelphia fullfling millions of deliveries/year using a distributed network of couriers. You will work with a small team of engineers on a variety of high-impact features. We have lots of interesting problems to solve (technical, logistical geospatial, behavioral, etc.).

What you'll do

  • Design and develop data architecture, pipelines, and integrations.

  • Propose best technologies for data ingestion processing and serving.

  • Actively influence system architecture and design with the above in mind.

  • Facilitate automation of builds, deployment, and reporting.

What you'll need

  • You have 5+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL as a language. Postgres experience is preferred.

  • 3+ years of building and launching new data models that provide intuitive analytics.

  • 3+ years of developing and delploying scalable database solutions and data pipelines.

  • Proficient in Python

  • Preference for AWS or agnostic

  • Demonstrated experience in containerization & orchestration with Docker & Kubernetes (EKS).

  • Bacherlors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or similar.

It would be nice if you have:

  • Experience developing Kubernetes controllers & operators.

  • Experience with any of the following technologies:

  • Node.js

  • TimescaleDB

  • RabbitMQ

  • MongoDB or other NoSQL databases

  • Kinesis Streams/Firehose

  • Grafana

Interview Process:

  • Introductory phone call (20m)

  • On-site technical interview (3 -4h)

  • On-site cultural interview: meet the rest of the company (3-4h)

  • The existing tech team consists of the CTO, two software engineers, and a data scientist.
