Dear Partners,

We hope this message finds you well.

As you may be aware, we're expected to have significant amounts of rain fall all day tomorrow and with colder weather, which make conditions even more challenging for couriers.

We’re doing everything we can on our end to prepare but we do expect there to be possible delays as many may decide they don't want to work in the rain due to hazardous conditions.

The most powerful thing you can do to help is to make sure you are managing customer expectations.

  • You can set proper customer expectations by increasing the estimated time of delivery on your ordering platforms -- whether that’s Grubhub, Uber Eats or your website.

  • Increasing ETAs also helps protect you against customers asking for refunds on orders because they were expecting their food in a 25 - 30 minute time-frame.

  • Relay doesn’t control or regulate the ETAs on your ordering platforms. As such, we ask that you please increase your delivery ETAS tomorrow on ALL of your ordering platforms that we deliver for (ETAs should be maxed out given the intensity/length of the rain).

  • If possible, delivery zones should also be shrunk so that couriers do not have to travel the usual longer distances.

Thank you so much for your continued support and cooperation. We will update you throughout the day if the forecast loosens up so we may return to normalcy.

All the Best,

Team Relay
